Features: Q— Photos and Inquiry by Julie Wiatt

What's the most important issue in the presidential election?

Jennifer Manguera: "With school-age kids, education of course is an important issue. I refuse to vote for Bush because I do not support the war. That's not a single issue of course. There are many layers to that issue.

Amina Manguera: "Not being able to touch the monkeys at the zoo. Because monkeys are my favorite animals. I want to be the next Jane Goodall when she retires."

Bennetta McDuffie: "Finding money for domestic programs: education, the arts, health care."

Pamela Consuegra: "For Bush, it may be the Iraq controversy, the decision to lead us into war. Was that based on fallacy or facts?"

Dee Consuegra: "I was in church and heard that the Congress was trying to pass a bill to edit the Constitution, and that really bothers me. So, the two biggest issues I have are religious freedom and Constitutional continuity."

James Simms: "Education, jobs and rent control, lower housing costs. The cost of houses around here is ridiculous."

Chandor Subramanian (holding Vijay): "The main thing is the war against Iraq Ñ whether it's justified or not."

Saranya Siva: "The president should be a person to take care of the country, a person who has to be good and honest and kind."

Harsha Subramanian: "And the person should not declare war for every little thing."

Bill Murray: "I don't think Bush should be out of office. I think he should stay where he is. Everybody remembers 9-11. Bush acted on that and I don't believe another president would have done that."

Michael Windsor: "As far as taxes go, Bush gave taxes back to the people. He's for the people. He gives back to the people."
